Shipping and Packing

IMPORTANT!
PLEASE READ BEFORE PACKING

In order to receive free shipping for your cartridges you MUST send one of these minimums:
(Once you have reached one of the minimums below, you may send any number of toners or inkjets on our current price list. Cell phones do not have to be on the list to send.)

10 or more laser toner cartridges on our current price list
PER ONE SHIPPING LABEL
OR

20 or more inkjet cartridges on our current price list
PER ONE SHIPPING LABEL
(When sending a combination of cartridges on our current price list, send 25 or more.)
OR
20
 or more used cell phones
PER ONE SHIPPING LABEL
 * If you are shipping 75 or more laser toner cartridges, please call first so we can discuss shipping options.• These cartridges must appear on our current cartridge return form.
• Cartridges need to be individually wrapped with packing material.

*Cartridges damaged due to lack of packing material, will not be paid for.
*If the minimums listed above are not met, shipping charges will be deducted from your check.

Packing Material:  Use these items, i.e. Styrofoam peanuts, newspaper, bubble wrap, plastic bags, or smashed end caps, as packing material to protect your cartridges from damage.

Inkjet Cartridges: Ship a minimum of 20 or more per one shipping label.  (When sending a combination of cartridges on our current price list, send 20 or more.)

  • For the best protection put cartridges back into their original packaging or you can wrap each cartridge in newspaper, plastic baggies, bubble wrap or any type of packing material.
  • DO NOT put tape on the print heads! This severely damages the cartridges.
  • Toner powder will damage inkjet cartridges. When shipping inkjets and toners together, DO NOT just drop inkjets in with toners. Inkjets MUST be packaged separately from your toner cartridges. Both inkjets and toners should be shipped in the same box with proper packing material to reduce damage.

Laser Cartridges: Ship a minimum of 10 or more per one shipping label. (When sending a combination of cartridges on our current price list, send 20 or more.)

  1. Remove cartridge from the original OEM box, wrap each loose cartridge in newspaper, bubble wrap or other
packing material and place cartridge in large shipping box.
  2. Using the original box, place two wrapped cartridges back into the box and then place in the large shipping box.
  3. Fill shipping box completely with the wrapped cartridges and/or doubled up cartridge boxes.
  • You may tape several (5-6) OEM boxes together for shipping if you do not have a larger shipping box. Be sure you double-up the boxes and use packing material.
  • It is important to fill all extra space in the shipping box with packing material so the   box holds its shape during shipment.
  • We only pay for cartridges that arrive to us in good condition.

Cell Phones: When shipping with toner and inkjet cartridges there is no minimum cell phone requirement. If you are sending cell phones only, send 20 or more per one shipping label

  • Cell phones, like inkjet cartridges, should be individually wrapped in protective packing material to avoid damage.
  • There is no need to send phone accessories, i.e.: chargers, cases/covers or ear buds. (Cell phones may be sent with or without batteries.)

How to Identify Remanufactured Cartridges:

Remanufactured or compatible cartridges we accept are listed on both the toner and inkjet price lists at the bottom of each page.

Remanufactured cartridges like the above pictured may have generic labels or may have stickers placed over the original label.

Reman cartridge boxes will be generic boxes without a trademark name. Look for words and phrases such as "compatible with..." or "replacement for..." as shown in the pictures above.

Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) like Hewlett Packard, Canon and Lexmark will have a registered trademark on both the cartridges and the boxes and will be easily identified as that brand. They will not look like the cartridges and boxes pictured above.

Boxes:

Advantage Cartridge does not provide boxes for shipping.  Please find size appropriate boxes that match the quantity of cartridges and cell phones you are returning.

Box size not to exceed 75 total inches
Add all 3 sides (Length + Width + Height).

Boxes that exceed 75 total inches will result in a $45.00 over-size fee that will be deducted from your recycling earnings.
